Welcome to my blog

Here begins the chronicles of my journey through a masters degree in Health Education and Active Living. A testament to my own pursuits of health and wellness and my endeavors to engage individuals and communities in re-framing the way we understand health and health education.

And then sometimes life takes you on a very different course of events!

I know it's been awhile, but my blogging was interrupted by a move across the world to Australia. Despite being more than a little disruptive to my career, schooling, and view of health; my move down under has provided me with an abundance of new challenges and exciting journeys in Health, Health Education, & Public Health. So on that note, I'll pick back up my blogging torch and fuel on.

Jennifer Fane - IWD luncheon Adelaide 2015
A little late, but better late than never! March is a busy time here in Adelaide, with the start back to classes for both students and academics, the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and of course International Women's Day!

Adelaide had several events to celebrate International Women's day including:

The International Women's Day Breakfast
held on Friday March 6th 7am-9am
Featuring Susan Carland and Penny Wong as keynote speakers

International Women's Day Luncheon
held on Thursday March 5th
Awards, entertainment, guest speakers including Natasha Stott-Despoja and more

International Women's Day March and Rally - Adelaide
held pm Friday March 6th
The event will include the launch of the Gladys Elphick Awards, the Barbara Polkinghorne Award, guest speakers and nibbles
Starting at Hindmarch Square and finishing at Tandanya

Myself and my Fellow NTEU members were out in full force and all events were well attended and well enjoyed!

Hope to see even more people out next year, as no matter the progress that has bee made, there is still so much to do!
